You’ve read all the articles. You know you should be blogging and doing social media. But who has the time? And why take the
time? It’s simple. Have you ever gone on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest and wasted a perfectly
good 45 minutes getting updated? Then you understand how social media can be “The Black Hole of Time”.
.
.
The good news from a marketing perspective is SOCIAL MEDIA IS THE BLACK HOLE OF TIME! People spend a great deal of time
on social media and will see what you post if you market it right. Social media is interactive. Your viewers can be your greatest
source of new business. They can be your R&D department. They can give you competitive information. A lot of really great
marketing things happen on social media if you do it correctly.

The “Get Found” part of blogs and social media
.

Blogging and posting on social media directly affects how you rank in the search engines. Say, for example, we post a YouTube
video. Not only do we post it on YouTube, but we also put it on your Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google +
accounts. We also put the video on your blog and send it out to 19 other blogospheres. That one video is now in 26 places.
Google looks at the video, which we have optimized so nicely and spread far and wide, and says “Gee, that video must be
important because it is 26 places.” So Google places it high in the search engine. Generally speaking, the wider you go (meaning
the number of places that video is), the higher you will be in the search engines.
.
“OK, I’m game. What and how often should I post?”
